My widget says “Set up DS Weather”
Open the app, choose Current Location or a fixed city, select your units and style, and finish setup. Then return to the Home Screen.
My widget is not updating
Open DS Weather to request a fresh update. iOS controls widget refresh timing, so a widget may update shortly after the app. DS Weather may temporarily preserve the last successful result when weather or location services are unavailable, but automatically removes it at the expiration time supplied by Apple Weather.
Current Location is not working
Open iOS Settings, select Privacy & Security, then Location Services, then DS Weather. Allow location access while using the app. Widgets may use the app’s last known location when iOS cannot deliver a fresh one.
How do I add a Home Screen widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of the Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget. Search for DS Weather and choose Small, Medium, or Large.
How do I add a Lock Screen widget?
Touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, select the widget area, and choose an Inline, Circular, or Rectangular DS Weather widget.
How does DS Weather choose UV or feels-like?
Meaningful cold and wind bring the feels-like temperature into focus. Otherwise, meaningful current or upcoming UV appears during the daylight window. DS Weather makes this choice from current conditions, not from a fixed season or month.
Does DS Weather collect my location?
The developer does not collect or retain your location. Your selected location and temporarily cached weather stay on your device and are shared only with the DS Weather widget extension. Read the Privacy Policy for details.
